Our Commitment Under the Health Information Act (HIA)

As registered healthcare professionals and named custodians under Alberta's Health Information Act, we are dedicated to protecting your personal health information.

1. Collection & Purpose: We collect your health information directly from you to provide safe, effective physiotherapy treatments, coordinate your care, and process accurate billing with your insurance provider.

2. The Circle of Care: We may share relevant portions of your health details with your referring family doctor, specialist, or other care providers actively involved in your treatment team. This ensures coordinated, safe care.

3. Your Right to Decide: You have the right to request restrictions on who sees your records ("expressed wishes"). You also have a legal right to request a copy of your health chart or request a correction to your records.

4. Electronic Security: Our clinic relies on secure electronic health systems. Our technology and software vendors are strictly bound by Information Manager Agreements to keep your records confidential and locked against unauthorized access.
